Starting from 305 pounds, it definitely takes a lot of effort to lose weight that much. But Chemese persevered. She took the treadmill and elliptical for a daily routine, bade goodbye to a fad diet and said hello to juicing. She doesn’t have any idea how much she has lost. But her pictures of transformations could already say a thousand stories about her journey.
Now, she’s living a life of gratitude and health. She feels actively involved and in control of her health. Let’s take a snap of her testimonial in her very own experience with juicing.
HOW DID JUICING BECOME A PART OF YOUR HEALING PROCESS? HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT IT?
My journey began on December 15, 2012 when I decided that I was going to give it all that I can and lose weight. Some how I really had let myself go: I was obese, out of shape, very unhealthy (as you can see in my before picture). I realized I just had to change that because I love myself too much. I knew I didn’t want to do another fad diet, I needed to change my lifestyle so thats exactly what I did. I started by eating a raw food diet of fruits, vegetables, and some nuts & seeds but mainly fruits. To make sure I get enough calories is when I started juicing. Juicing changed everything.
WHEN DID YOU START AND WHAT’S YOUR REGIMEN?
I watch the “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” documentary. Then I started searching YouTube. I have successfully completed a 30 day and a 60 day juicing/smoothie cleanse. I normally have a juice for breakfast or lunch. At least 32 ounces of juice a day.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT HAVE YOU LOST SINCE THE BEGINNING OF YOUR JOURNEY?
As for numbers, my starting weight was 305+ pounds . I don’t know how much weight I have lost though simply because that number isn’t important to me anymore. What is more important is that I have gained control over my health which is more than I wanted.
WHAT OTHER BENEFITS HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED?
I have more energy then I know what to do with. Before starting all of this I hated vegetables but now my taste buds have completely changed. I have suffered from acne from age 13 but my skin has cleared up.
DESCRIBE YOUR EXERCISE ROUTINE DURING THIS TIME.
I did 2 hours of cardio everyday which includes an hour on the elliptical and an hour on the treadmill.
HAS YOUR LIFE OUTLOOK CHANGED?
Yes, I believe in myself more and anything is possible. I have gained control over my health which is more than I wanted. One thing is for sure, I’m not exactly where I want to be but I’m so glad I’m not where I used to be. My journey doesn’t end here.
WHAT WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE JUICING FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Juicing will change your life but you have to take it one day at a time. Planning is very important.
